# The Meta Irony Recursive Hierarchy 

Non-Irony must exist for all others to exist. 

**Non-Irony:**  

- "I believe in God. I am religious. I truly believe in God."

**Non-Irony gets subverted by Irony:** 

- "Oh look at me I believe in God. There's an invisible man in the sky if I eat bacon. Shut up!"

  

**Irony gets subverted by both;**

 **Post-Irony:**

- "Oh look at me I believe in God. There's an invisible man in the sky if I eat bacon." (Actually believes in god) 

**Meta-Irony:** 

- "Wow I'm so original and edgy. I make fun of people for being religious. I'm so much more smarter than everyone!"

**Post-Irony and Meta-Irony get subverted by Meta-Meta-Irony:** 

- "heh, you call that original rtard? hurr i make fun of ppl for being insightful about the concept of irony by making fun of the satirists themselves"

**Meta-Meta-Irony gets subverted by Meta-Meta-Meta-Irony:** 

- "Haha I am so funny. I make fun of people that deconstruct the act of satirising the actions and beliefs of others."

**Meta-Meta-Meta-Irony gets subverted by Meta-Meta-Meta-Meta-Irony ad infintum until extreme esotericism**

On any layer of this if the person is displaying a genuine believe cloaked in any of these levels of irony, simply add post- to designate that it is post meta ironic.

Meta-ironic memes are complex memes that prey on less complex memes. They derive its humour from ironic and non-ironic memes. They violate structural conventions of memes they reference.

Often falling into a recursive meta cycle of successively more 'meta' meme that make fun of slightly less ironic and thus self-aware memes.

Meta-Irony is directly related to self-awareness, remember that.
